Our Story

Hi, I’m Anita — and this is my story.

I founded Gemnotic in 2012, during a life-changing chapter. I had just been made redundant and found myself at home with two small children — one only six months old.

I vividly remember standing in front of the mirror one day. I hadn’t washed my hair in days, my clothes were stained with baby food, and I smelled of baby sick. I barely recognized the woman staring back at me. I thought, “Who is this?”

In that moment, I realized that staying home without a creative outlet wasn’t for me. Deep down, I knew I had a passion that had been buried — waiting to be rediscovered. I needed to do something for me.

And so, Gemnotic was born.

What began on my kitchen table — often between nap times and school runs — has grown into a studio where creativity and craftsmanship come to life every day. It’s where memories are made into keepsakes, and where I finally found my purpose.
